DeShazo Enterprises LLC is a family-owned business located in Abilene, Texas, that was formed in 2004 by the brother and sister team of Gil DeShazo and Donna DeShazo Schnitman. Beginning with their father, Gary DeShazo, the DeShazo family owned Caldwell Music, a chain of music stores throughout West Texas, for more than 50 years. Gil DeShazo operated Caldwell Music for 20 years and Donna held various supporting positions. Gil and Donna both have marketing degrees from Baylor University. Gil is a past board member and current member of the National Association of School Music Dealers. Having been involved in the school music business for many years, the DeShazo family understands the business and its challenges.
